If i had to put myself in the book, I would definitely be a settler. All my life, I've had an attraction to the ocean, and love swimming. The love for all things water is what led me to picking up this book, and I could easily imagine myself living in a settlement and interacting with the other settlers. I would probably struggle with the government along with the rest of the settlers, because I'm usually nonviolent, and couldn't see myself taking on outlaws like the main characters.

Dream land has some very interesting stories to tell about the survivors and relatives of opioid addicts, as well as the origins of the drugs. The story is well woven together, it it is surprising the connections the people, not characters, have. I am truly connected to these stories as well, and can relate to many of the experiences, or lack thereof.
In Dan Brown's inferno, the alleged "Inferno" is a airborne disease that alters the DNA of 1/3 of the population, rendering them infertile, arguably one of the better ways of population control, as opposed to the child laws in media such as the movie What Happened to Monday; or the book The Shadow Children. I predict that in the next book, (If there is one) There will be events circulating around the premise of a cure, seeming as the first book was circulating around the virus.
