The End.The man (main character) is at his weakest point in the story, he has been growing weaker throughout the story, but is showing no signs of getting better at this point. The Man and his Boy continue walking down The Road until the man lays down and dies. The man actually passes away while looking at the stars.
Throughout all of the book there is a sense of a chaotic calm as they would walk through empty neighborhoods that had an obvious story to tell. The man's dreams were also commonly brought up in the story. The dreams seem to usually be something from his past and just really looking back at what once was so great rather than finding a way to fix what they had now. A theme that could be used for this novel could be something along the lines of a better past. I mean this in the sense that they were stuck constantly seeing the ruins of this once beautiful world; they never really get to look at something new or think of a future. This book was honestly one of my favorites. I was able to focus on something that I could have found boring. It had so much going on but treated it all as if it were nothing. This is something I wouldn't recommend to everyone, though would gladly recommend to those who enjoy reading genres such as surreal and supernatural. I already made a connection from this book to Don't Close Your Eyes, the best book ever, but if you liked reading The Road, I recommend you read that.

In the book, The Road, a father and son are on a journey through post-apocalypse. While the readers explore the terrain, the author explores what makes a family. By the end, however, we see that a family is more than blood when the Dad dies due to unknown conditions, (Not Age, nor sickness,) leaving the boy alone with a new family, who adopt him as their own. This book reminds me of the book Don't Close Your Eyes by Lisa Mcmann, not because of the story, but because of the familiar writing style. I fell in love with the short stops and altered writing, and stayed for the diverse and alluring plot lines. The similarities I see in the world today is the unconditional bond in family during disasters.
I'm going to comment on Peter and Bre's posts The road is about a father and son on the road together as a family on the road. So far, this book takes place on earth. The time period is post modern era, after what is believed to be a fallout. So far, this is the most immersive dystopian novel because it removes the quotation marks. I will comment on Peter and Piper's things.
